Social Studies: History and Geography
The Topics In Grade 7 history, the expectations are divided into two chronological strands. The topics covered in the two are as follows: A. New France and British North America, 1713–1800 B. Canada, 1800–1850: Conflict and Challenges. This curriculum was designed for Canadian schools; however, we will be looking at the broader topics from an international perspective. We will study Canada's history, but we will also look at comparable events throughout history in different parts of the globe.
Literacy
The expectations for Grades 7 focus on the consolidation of students’ language knowledge, skills, and strategies and their ability to use them independently and effectively to understand, reflect on, apply, and communicate information and ideas, and for continued learning in school and in a multicultural, multimedia world.
